DSPE-PEG-COOH is one of the reactive phospholipid peg conjugates which can react with primary amino groups. DSPE (1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycerin-3-phosphate ethanolamine) is a highly hydrophobic 18 carbon phospholipid. On the other hand, PEG joints provide good hydrophilicity and water solubility. The carboxyl group (- COOH) at the end of another peg reacts with the primary amine group by EDC chemical method. Therefore, PEG DSPE can be easily incorporated into liposomes and other nanoparticles through the reaction of carboxylic acid and amine. DSPE polyethylene glycol "liposomes" are commonly used reactive phospholipids that bind antibodies, proteins, peptides or other substrates to the surface of liposomes and other lipid peg nanoparticles. Pegylated phospholipids have longer blood circulation time and higher encapsulation molecular stability.
