Product description:

PLGA-PEG-PLGA is an amphiphilic BAB triblock copolymer composed of hydrophilic block polyethylene glycol (PEG) and hydrophobic block polylactide glycolide (PLGA). Because of its excellent performance, it can be used to make biodegradable temperature sensitive hydrogel; Polyethylene glycol copolymers with biodegradable and biocompatible polyester segments can also be used to prepare core-shell micelles, nanoparticles, and microspheres. The active groups at the end of PLGA-PEG-PLGA can link to some modified peptides, proteins, sugars, folate, or antibodies, making them actively targeted. PEG-PLGA can be dissolved in a series of common organic solvents, depending on its composition, especially the ratio of LA to GA and the total molecular weight of PLGA. With the increase of molecular weight and GA content, its solubility in ordinary organic solvents deteriorates. Usually, PEG-PLGA with lower molecular weight or higher LA content can be more easily soluble in chlorinated solvents such as dichloromethane or chloroform.

Polylactic acid glycolic acid (PLGA) is a copolymer formed by the polymerization reaction of lactic acid (LA) and glycolic acid (GA). It is an important biodegradable material with non-toxic and good biocompatibility characteristics, and has been increasingly widely used in fields such as drug delivery, gene therapy, and medical fiber materials; And it has been certified by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and officially included as a medicinal excipient in the US Pharmacopoeia.

PLGA can copolymerize with PEG blocks to form diblock, triblock, or even tetrablock copolymers, which can be used for micelles, drug encapsulation, drug delivery, and sustained release control. The active group of PLA PEG with MALmaleimide can modify proteins, antibodies, and other small molecule materials. MALs can react with SH thiols, and NHS in PLGA-PEG-NHS can react with amino groups to connect with small molecule materials such as antibodies and proteins.


PLGA-PEG-PLGA is sensitive to light and temperature, and for optimal use, the material should always be kept dry at low temperatures to avoid frequent thawing and freezing.


PLGA-PEG-PLGA should be stored at a low temperature below 4 ℃, away from light, and dry. The material can be treated under inert gas to achieve optimal stability, and retested after 12 months.
