N3-PEG-COOH is a type of carboxylated PEG, which can be used to modify proteins, antibodies, peptides, etc. Carboxyl groups can react with amino groups to form stable amide bonds, and can also form ester bonds with hydroxyl groups. Azide functionalized PEG can react with materials containing alkyne groups under the catalysis of copper ions or directly with DBCO without the need for any catalyst. The reaction between azides and alkynes can effectively bind carboxylic acid PEG to the target molecule or material, and the yield is high. The obtained carboxylic acid can react with amines, hydroxyl groups, and other functional groups. The PEG joint between azide and carboxylic acid has good water solubility, small steric hindrance, and enhanced stability.
