Storage Conditions:

Boc-NH-PEG-NH2 is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent that contains Boc protected amines and free amines. It is a useful crosslinking agent with PEG spacer. Free amines typically present in the form of TFA or HCl salts can be used to react with carboxyl or NHS esters. Protected amines can be regenerated under mild acidic conditions. BOC-NH-PEG-NH2 is a type of amino PEG that can be used to modify proteins, peptides, and other materials and small molecules with carboxyl groups (- COOH) or other active groups that can react with primary amines. Amino groups (- NH2) can easily form stable amide bonds with carboxyl groups, and can also form amide bonds with active esters (- NHS) at pH 7-8.5. BOC can protect amino groups and is also very convenient to remove protection.

Boc (t-Butyloxycarbonyl) is an abbreviation for t-Butyloxycarbonyl, which is a commonly used amino protecting group in organic synthesis, especially in peptide synthesis.

Upper protective group: amine interacts with di-tert-butyl dicarbonate (i.e. (Boc) 2O) and weak base (such as potassium carbonate, triethylamine, etc.). Two phase reactions can be used, such as DCM and H2O systems.

Deprotection group: treated with hydrochloric acid. The products are isobutylene and carbon dioxide gas.
