Description:

Nh2-peg-cooh is a kind of hybrid bifunctional peg crosslinking agent, which can be used to attach functional peg to the surface of biomolecules, particles and other materials. Carboxyl group reacts with amine group to form stable amide bond. It can also react with hydroxyl groups to form unstable ester bonds. On the other hand, amines can be used to react with many amine reactive groups, such as succinimide, NHS ester, aldehyde, etc. The PEG chain between amino and carboxyl groups has better water solubility and flexible linker length. Peg can increase the solubility of the modified materials. It can also increase stability and decrease immunogenicity of pegylated peptides and proteins. In addition, PEG inhibits the nonspecific binding of charged molecules to the modified surface.


Storage condition:

MPEG-MAL should be stored at -20℃. Desiccate.  Materials may be handled under inert gas for best stability. Re-test material after 12 months, Avoid frequent thawing and freezing.
